Documentation required by the Mexican Law in order to get married in Mexico:
Civil Wedding
Bride & Groom:
· Birth certificate: translated and with apostils by the Mexican consulate in your country· Full Name, Age, nationality, home address and occupation· Valid passport. This is essential, otherwise the wedding cannot be performed· Copy of a photo ID such as valid driver’s license· Original blood test no older than 14 days to the wedding day. Original blood test result complete of each one including HIV, RPR (sexually transmitted diseases) and blood type. This analysis must be done no more than 14 days before the wedding date and must be done in México. The results will take 24 hours to be ready. The couple can get them at the hotel (extra charge)· Divorce Certificate (should this be the case) This document must be legalized and translated into Spanish by the Mexican Consulate before arriving to Mexico. It’s the couple’s responsibility to have all the documentation before the wedding dates as required.
Being the Judge an outside service provided by the Mexican Government.
The Civil Wedding is celebrated in Spanish.

The El Cid Riviera Maya is part of El Cid’s new $200 million complex, which borders Puerto Morelos National Reef Park and features a state-of-the-art marina. Combining the old with the new, the location is 12 miles south of the Cancun International Airport and not far from the 1,000-year-old ruins of the lost Maya civilization.

Dean produced alot of wind, rain, and high sea surges. Puerto Adventuras beach was normally a lagoon like beach, but now the waves are still crashing down and has washed away most of the sand and the palapas from the hotels. We still do not know what the damage are to Tulum, we will update on this later. Chetumal is where Dean entered, it is the capital of Quintana Roo and we do have information of the damage there either, we expect the conditions are devasting. As far as Cancun, and the Hotel Zone, we just experience alot of wind, and high waves. The power went out for a few minutes at times, but nothing was destroyed and we are very thankful.
We will update on the some of the other conditions later and post photos as we gather them.

It is starting to get dark , and we have not received any strong winds yet.
A total of 1,800 tourist did not cancel their vacation to this destination.
Can you believe that?
I asked some of them, if you knew a Hurricane was coming and is a category 4 ( possible 5) why would you come to Cancun?
The most common answers were:
- I have never experienced a Hurricane before and we already paid for our vacation.
- Its not going to hit Cancun.
- We called in advance to our Hotel and they said to us, that they are a Hurricane Proof Hotel.
- I have never stayed in a Hurricane shelter.
- My Hotel told me that, they will give me free beer all through out Hurricane Dean.

The weather tonight is very calm , but as the storm approaches we are uncertain of how the next night would be.
From the last experience we had with HURRICANE WILMA, the Cancun Locals and the Mexican Government LEARNED what to do for this Natural Phenomenon.
Remember that WILMA lasted an unforgettable 30 Hours in our Cancun City and that was just 2 years ago, so the sensation and the vivid memory still lives very well within us.

IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION: On June 8, 2007, the Departments of State and Homeland Security announced U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico who have applied for, but not yet received passports, can re-enter the United States by air by presentation of a government issued photo identification and Department of State official proof of application for a passport through September 30, 2007. The federal government is making this accommodation for air travel due to longer than expected processing times for passport applications in the face of record-breaking demand.
